Submitting a false positive report
For C/C++ users, false positive reports can be generated to collect information needed to reproduce false positives in specific source files.
To submit a false positive report from Visual Studio:
- Right-click an issue in the issue window and select Create false positive report.
- A dialog will appear, asking you to save the archive as a
.kwzfile. Place the file somewhere you can locate it easily. - Open a ticket with Support and attach the
.kwzfile.
The generated archive contains source code information that may be sensitive. A possible workaround is providing a compilable snippet of source code that reproduces the problem. For assistance, contact Customer Support before submitting the report.
