Install the plugin for Eclipse

This section explains how to install the Klocwork plugin for Eclipse on Windows.

Your Eclipse IDE must be running on JVM 1.8+ to install the plugin.

  1. In Validate, click Resources.

  2. Under Downloads, expand Eclipse update site and copy the URL.

  3. Open Eclipse:
    • For Eclipse 3.4, go to Help > Software Updates.
    • For Eclipse 3.5+, go to Help > Install New Software.
    • If using Wind River Workbench version 4.0 or earlier, select Advanced Device Development in the upper right to access Help > Software Updates.
  4. In the Install dialog, paste the URL into the Work with: field and press Enter.
  5. Select the Klocwork Tools checkbox.
  6. If you use Wind River Workbench, click the arrow next to the Wind River Workbench Integrations checkbox, then select the appropriate configuration for your version.
  7. Follow the prompts to continue the installation process.
  8. When prompted, restart the IDE.
  9. In Eclipse, specify the information for your License Server:
    • Go to Window > Preferences > Klocwork > Settings).
    • Enter your License Server and port information, then click Apply and Close.
